The specification was for a responsive mini-site with four sections including image slider and a custom YouTube embed. Each section would feel ‘unique’ and help to promote the AMD brand against its competitors. The YouTube video was to be activated on scroll, and also feature a custom navigation. There would also be various anchor points throughout the site that would require smooth scroll.
What we came up with was a very lightweight website which ran smoothly and loaded quickly on all devices. The mini-site was not built on any framework, just custom-made HTML5 and CSS3. Working with the YouTube API, we created a custom video navigation which enables users to skip to specific points in the video.
